Bug #15293

FORM wizard does not support FORM reset button
Added by Steffen Gebert almost 19 years ago.
Updated over 12 years ago.
Priority:
Won't have this time
Category:
Backend User Interface
Description
The element type "reset" is missing although it is supported by the FORM content element.
Further problem: if you configure the reset-button via the text configuration it will be destryoed by the wizard. It seems to delete unsupported types.
(issue imported from #M2056)
Just a sidenote: Doesn't everybody hate reset buttons anyway? At least I do... I never needed one, and they only annoy me when I click them accidentially when I want to hit "submit".
But you're probably right that they should be supported in the form wizard, too, if they are supported in the FORM content element...
cheers,
Ingmar
This issue is related to #16289 where a patch can be found to edit reset buttons from within the forms wizard.
I should have left the patch here, but haven't found this report earlier. Sorry.
- Category set to Backend User Interface
- Status changed from New to Accepted
- Target version changed from 0 to 4.5.6
- TYPO3 Version changed from 3.8.1 to 4.5
- PHP Version deleted (
4)
- Complexity set to easy
Still valid as we will have the new FORM element in 4.6? Maybe for 4.5...
- Target version changed from 4.5.6 to 4.5.8
- Status changed from Accepted to Rejected
- Priority changed from Should have to Won't have this time
- Target version deleted (
4.5.8)
We won't have it in 4.5 anymore and we have the new FORM extension which provides a reset button.
