Clean up columns view by removing spacer images

Description

Attached an image to show the problem.

Excess of spacer images means the wrap is excessive when not needed.

The copde inserts these two spacer images when the buttons are not visible. This is wrong. Just remove the images and let the remaining wrap naturally within the narrow columns.
