Feature that allows EM to showed installed version and current version

Description
In the installed extensions or loaded extensions view I would like to be able to see both the version number (which happens now) plus the latest available version of each of my extensions. This would allow me to easily see when there are updated versions of the extenisons used in the installation.
Currently the only methods I have found to do this is to either look up each extension on typo3.org or else (in the backend) to go to "import exension" then "look up" extensions with nothing in the search box thus bringing up the entire list of extensions through which you can scroll looking for later current versions. Both of these methods are awkward plus time and bandwidth-consuming.
Anyway, just a suggestion. Thanks for all your work.

SOLUTION:
install the ext: ter_update_check (it is already proposed to go int osystem_extensions)

is this still an issue or should we close this?
The extension ter_update_check will also hopefully make it into 4.2, so I hope your request is satisfied. is it?

Resolved as duplicate of #16884
ter_update_check is integrated into core now, which solves this nicely.
