On trying to access http://www.fholzinger.com/niedermeier/typo3conf/ext/w4x_backup/ I get a 403 error, that indicates that w4x_backup is existing. Maybe this directory is not writeable for the webserver-user (e.g. www-data) and so you cannot update/overwrite the extension in the Extension Manager.

Problem is still existing, but seem to be just a bug in the w4x_backup extension. It's not a problem of rights, as first assumed by me.

Resolved, no change required:
- Not a Core, but an extension issue as guessed by Moritz.
- No further feedback for a long time.
- I was unable to reproduce this with current w4x_backup 0.9.2, installation went fine. So this is probably fixed anyway.
