Automatic detection of url's in Mozilla/Firefox doesn't work with compressed script in 1.5.2

Description
Using Firefox 2.0.0.3, with TYPO3 4.1.1 and rtehtmlarea 1.5.2 the automatic creation of links when typing a URL or email address doesn't work when I use the compressed script. When I turn off the compressed script in the extension manager it does work.
I have tried this on two different TYPO3 installations on different servers and with different computers.
(issue imported from #M5557)
It does work with the compressed script in Internet Explorer 7.
I tested this with compressed scripts on TYPO3 4.1.2-dev (SVN version) and could not reproduce. Did you get any JavaScript errors/warnings?
No, I get no JavaScript errors or warnings. If you want I can set up a test installation tonight in which it goes wrong for me and email you the admin login.
the same behavior with Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4 in our installations. The error is not present in a fresh installation. It occures after you have changed a constant in rtehtmlarea in the extension manager (for example enable images). If you disable compressed scripts links are detected in a right manner.
I have a similiar problem with Typo3 4.1.1 + rtehtmlarea 1.5.2 and have found that when setting RTE to "Typical", transformations between <link> and <a href> do not work. When set to "demo", transformations work. This seems to be independent of the fact if compressed or uncompressed scripts are used.
I re-tested this issue with the latest TYPO3 4.1 SVN branch. I could not reproduce the reported misbehaviour.
If you are still using TYPO3 4.1, please upgrade to the latest corrective release (TYPO3 4.1.7).
