Password reset sends two messages with different password
Added by Kurt Ludikovsky over 17 years ago.
Updated about 11 years ago.
Description
When a user uses the 'Forgot password' function, two messages are sent to the user.
The first mail includes a password which is correct.
The second - received later - has one which does not work.
The reason is possibly the use of kb_md5fepw.
Versions in use
Typo3 4.1.1
kb_md5fepw 0.4.0
newloginbox 3.0.1
sr_feuser_register 2.5.4
feuser_admin 1.0.2
(issue imported from #M6137)
Hi Kurt,
are you shure that your have only one time the plugin "newloginbox" include on the page?
regards,
Mick
Are you sure you don't have different users with the same e-mail address? The same thing happened to me. I was confused, because I started using the e-mail address as username, but still had users with the same e-mail address under a different username.
Newloginbox looks into the field "e-mail", not in "username".
@michael
this might be the problem.
the page has the newlogin-box on the page as well in the template at left border. But there is no 'Forgot Password'-link.
I'll check it.
@Oliver
No this is not the case, because the email is the user-ID.
Thanks. Ill report when I have tested.
