Description
Some translations aren't really precise. In German for example we have the same translation (Seiteninhalt: Rahmen) four times (see attachment). Maybe the problem persist in other languages too.

The translations are correct.
The problem is that the original values use that short names. The reason is, that the values in the list are the same which are used in the content elements (where the meaning is clear because of the context the words appear in).
A solution would be to structure the list by adding headlines for the different "categories" of options.

I'm aware of this and will tackle it within the TCEforms refactoring.

Hi,
as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.2.7)?
An answer (or better a question) after seven years. Wow ;-)
The problem is solved. See attached screenshot. In 6.2.7 there is also the original database fieldname next to the translated field. So it is 100% identifiable.
