Bug #18065
closedIncomplete tabs appear in tt_content when activating dividers2tabs
0%
Description
When activating dividers2tabs in tt_content (as is done, for example, by the powermail extension), it suddenly appears that two content element types have tabs defined, but without labels. The types are list and textpic. This results in label-less tabs that look like something wrong has happened. They work normally, but this is not good for usability. Screenshot attached.
In the attached patch I propose to simply remove the two --div-- markers found in the TCA-types description for these two content element types.

You can also add --div--;SomeLabelText instead of deleting it completely.
Now the empty tab has a label...

Yes obviously, but given the lengthy discussions generated by the grouping and labeling of tabs in the development of 4.2, it appears easier to remove those few residual tabs from 4.1.x where tabs are not used in the consistent way anyway.

I hereby drop this RFC as discussed in the thread in the core list::
- The bug exists only in TYPO3 4.1 and before
- The tabs are not activated by default from the TYPO3 installation, you have to modify the TCA manually, and by modifying the TCA by hand, you also have the possibility to add the labels to that divs (which are tabs then). So this "feature" (tabs in the first place, labels then) can be manually added by modifying the TCA in extTables.php.
I hope that is ok with you.
