Bug #18097
closedAllowing editing of *.ts files in backend
0%
Description
Hello,
when you working with SweeTS (http://typo3.area42.de/) and external typoscript files they get the extension *.ts.
When you enabled the editing of files for the backend you can't edit these files from the backend. It would be much helpfull if they were registered by Typo3 as editable file type like *.txt.
At the moment you have to change the extension back into *.txt and after editing back in *.ts.

As this report is very old, is the handling in newer TYPO3 CMS Versions (like 6.0/6.1) more like you expect it?

IMHO can be closed:

The issue is still valid as editing *.ts files is not possible by default. Simply adding the .ts extension to the mentioned setting would do, but needs to be done by default to resolve this issue. Alternatively t3editor could be adjusted (if that's the right place) to also recognize ts files.
