Description
hunspell is an OS spell checker used in OpeonOffice, Firefox 3 and Thunderbird. It has no PHP API, but an ispell compatible pipe interface (CLI).

When called with -v hunspell will output a multi-line version info. The first line looks like this:
@(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.2.2)

Differences to aspell:
-d is the equivalent for --lang
hunspell seems to use the lang_Country notation
-p is the equivalent for --home
-i is the equivalent for --encoding
--mode is not supported
hunspell seems to ignore unknown switches
-D should roughly do the same as "dump dicts" but seems to be buggy
