Front-end editing: flickering templavoila-preview div
Added by Frank Sonck almost 15 years ago.
Updated over 14 years ago.
Description
Using feeditadvanced 1.0.1
Tried this on Firefox 3.5.5 with Ubuntu 9.10
- I only get the front-end editing active when logged in as FE user AND also logged is as admin (not a simple BE user). Can't be ok I guess?
- When I'm logged in like that, I go to a front-end page, see the FE editing menu above. When I hover my mouse above the page I see a dotted (striped) line around the page area and on the left above also a templavoila-preview div (with info about used DS and TO). When I hover the mouse above this div it starts to flickr. It looks like a sort of CSS problem.
- Also I don't find it handy to have this div showing up above the page like that.
Hope I reported this in the right place. Sorry if I'm wrong.

No, but that is confusing here...
Bugs for TemplateVoila are collected in this bugtracker in the project tx_templatvoila.
For feeditadvanced see here:

Please first update feeditadvanced to the newest version (1.1.0).
Maybe some of the errors then are already gone.
To the login: Although it is called FE-Editing, you have to be logged in as a BE-user. It should not depend on whether you are logged in into the FE or not.
If it does not work for normal users, I guess you didn't activate FE editing for them.
Please test, if FE editing with feedit works for a normal user. Only if that's the case, this is a problem with feeditadvanced.
Can you provide a screenshot of the FE page (with the fe-editing stripped lines around the whole(?) page and with the TemplaVoila-div)?
I've updated feeditadvanced to version 1.1.0 but it makes no difference.
FE editing with feedit works for a normal user. My mistake.
I've provided a screenshot. The screenshot app didn't 'take' all the stripes but you can still see part of them in the upper side of the page area.
