Type of block accumulation if the block is manually selected, on Safari
Added by Rachel Foucard over 14 years ago.
Updated about 6 years ago.
Description
The user normally should click in the paragraph before selecting a type of block. But sometimes, he makes a manual selection of the paragraphe, and then select the type of block. It work on every browser except on safari. On safari, if you have a h3 block, and if you change it in h2 block, you will get that result :

the text

I have been unsuccessfull at reproducing this issue in either Safari or Google Chrome with current SVN trunk.
Please explain exactly how to proceed to produce this result.
To reproduce the bug, you must select manually the entire paragraph before changing its format, each time, without looking to the source code with the "source mode" button between the manipulations but only at the end.
here is a link to a very short video of the bug if you prefere :

the test is done with safari 5 for windows, TYPO3 4.3.3 and rtehtmlarea 1.8.9
Yes, thanks. What strange bugs browsers may have...
Please test the attached patch. After applying the patch, you will need to clear the RTE cache in the TYPO3 backend and to clear the browser cache.
i have tested the 4.3 patch and it works !
i can't test quickly for trunck patch.
could you make a similar patch 4.2.x ? because one of my customers have the same problem on a 4.2 with a 1.7.14 rtehtmlarea version ?
The attached patch will apply to the TYPO3_4-2 branch. Please test it and confirm that it works. In order to test with TYPO3 4.2.12, you will need to delete all files in typo3temp/rtehtmlarea and clear the browser cache.
it's works perfectly with the 4.2 patch.
thank's a lot !
Thanks for testing!
Committed to SVN TYPO3core trunk (revision 7966), branch TYPO3_4-3 (revision 7967) and branch TYPO3_4-2 (revsion 7968).
