(Bezeichner erwartet).
I was not able to find any disfunction, however it should be fixed.

Introduced with r9726 (#23914)
This code:
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="typo3-TCEforms-selectIcons"><tr><td><img name="selIcon_pages_4_be_layout_next_level_2" src="clear.gif" width="7" height="10" alt="" /></td> <td><a href="#" onclick="document.editform['data[pages][4][be_layout_next_level]'].selectedIndex=2; document.editform['data[pages][4][be_layout_next_level]'].class=document.editform['data[pages][4][be_layout_next_level]'].options[2].class; TBE_EDITOR.fieldChanged('pages','4','be_layout_next_level','data[pages][4][be_layout_next_level]');this.blur();return false;">
Seems like IE dislikes the .class

Seems like IE is right ;-)

Has to be className.
