RTE won't load in FCEs with Typo3 4.5 and TV 1.5.3

Description

I've set up two fresh Typo3 4.5 installations on two different servers. Both servers run Debian Lenny, one with PHP as Apache Module and one with PHP via fastcgi.
I have the same problem in both installations: The RTE won't load in FCEs, the loading anim keeps on turning. Tried it with Firefox 3.6.13 (Win and Linux).
There is a Javascript error that appears, the error is:

form is undefined
var testNode = $(form.parentNode);

This error doesn't appear when using the RTE in other modules, such as tt_news. The RTE works fine in all other modules.
