The info module does not show up in IE 7 and 8

Description

The "LinkValidator" is not getting displayed at all in IE 7 and 8.
When we go to Info, and select "LinkValidator" we get a script error in IE 7 and 8 with following details:

Message: 'events' is null or not an object
Line: 7
Char: 163909
Code: 0
URI: https://www.mydomain.com/typo3temp/compressor/ext-all-6c8d3c53496a2674c362d5cdfa583ab3.js

This script error seems to be source of problem, that is preventing further display of the module content.
