Bug #33086

Button "Open version of page" doesn't work if the requested page is not already loaded in page tree
Added by Dirk Eidam almost 13 years ago.
Updated over 10 years ago.
Description
After clicking the button "Open version of page" on an record in workspace modul the browser is sometimes redirected to the root-page and sometimes redirected to the right corresponding page. I have figured out that the page tree creates the problem. If the corresponding page is already loaded in pagetree all works fine. If the whole pagetree or the corresponding subtree is closed on load I always get redirected to the root-page.
Firebug shows a request to the right page but aborts that request and then loads the root-page.
We use templavoila 1.6 and the current git check out of TYPO3 4.5.

Works fine for me in the current master - would you mind to recheck it with the master version of the Core? (Just to make sure that we look in the right places)
I have tested the problem for TYPO3 Version 4.5.11 and 4.7-dev and it's still exists. Important to reproduce the problem is, that the affected page is not shown in pagetree on site load.
The following steps maybe help to reproduce the problem:
1. Collapse the hole pagetree of the site including the affected page.
2. Reload the TYPO3 backend [STRG] + [F5]
3. Open Workspace Module and select the rootpage (but don't open pagetree)
4. Choose "Infinity" on depth selector
5. Click "Open version of page" for the affected page (= any not shown subpage)
I have tested the problem for TYPO3 Version 4.5.18 and 4.7.2. For both versions, the right page displayed. But only in version 4.7.2 is the pagetree opened an the correct page is selected.
