htmlArea RTE: Edit microdata items in the RTE
Added by Stanislas Rolland almost 13 years ago.
Updated about 7 years ago.
Description
This feature adds a new "Microdata" tab and fieldset to the "Edit element" dialogue.
The new fieldset allows to edit the itemscope, itemtype and itemprop attributes.
The types and properties are, by default, taken from the vocabulary defined by schema.org [[http://schema.org/]]. Other/additional vocabularies defined using XML/RDF may be configured in Page TSConfig.
The feature also adds a toolbar button that allows to show/hide microdata items in the RTE editing area. Using CSS, the items are prefixed by the type or property name in small caps.
See BE CSH TYPO3 Manual for details.

Microdata is a very important feature in our days.
But I cant find the "Microdata tab" in the "Edit Button".
Neither in 4.7.xx (dummy and blank) nor in 6.1.xx (gov).
I saw the button in a feature report.
But I cannot find no hint how to enable this button in htmlarea.
No documentation anywhere.
The CSH help of rte says:
When this feature is enabled, the dialogue opened when clicking the "Edit element"
button in the editor toolbar allows to edit the microdata attributes.
But there is no "Edit element" button in any rte toolbar I have ever seen.
I see lots of edit buttons in typo3.
And lots of them do open the rte with its toolbar.
But in the rte toolbar itselfs i never have seen this edit button.
Is it possible the get some hints how to enable this microdata-feature?
Found the hint to enable the buttons in the manual ;-)
But since typo3 6.1 there is no link to manuals anymore in
typo3-extension-manager.
This makes it very uncomfortable to rtf ;-(
