staging notification emails are not sended at any time

Description
Hi there,
i tryed today to set up a few customer page workspaces and dicovered a already known problem.
There are not sended any emails at the staging process.
I use TPO3 Version 4.6.7.
is there planned a fix soon?

If this is a known problem, please reference the original bug and ideally do not open a new bug report but comment on the existing one.
What do you mean by "staging process", you mean when publishing to LIVE (final step) or at an intermediate step?

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.1.7)?
