The CaseSensitive Patch reorded the "canonicalize" functions and additionally introduced a getUniqueIdentifier()

getUniqueIdentifier() basically is "canonicalize"

but the others are used for absolute path, too...

so create a new function for absolute/external path, use it where needed and remove getUnuqieIdentifer functoin
