Bug #56652
closedUnable to upgrade extensions with extension manager
0%
Description
I've migrated a small website from TYPO4 4.5 to TYPO3 6.2beta6 on a fully patched Debian Wheezy server.
When I come to the point where I upgrade existing extensions, I run into some strange problems. After performing an upgrade of the extension list, the extension manager shows, that I can update 3 extensions. So I'll go on and want to upgrade one extension.
1st attempt to upgrade an extension - RealURL 1.12.7 to 1.12.8
- I click on the update-button for RealURL extension.
- The extension manager shows a lightbox with update comments
- I confirm the update
- A spinner is shown
- I refreshed the backend after 5 minutes of waiting
- Extension is not upgraded
2nd attempt to upgrade an extension - RealURL 1.12.7 to 1.12.8
- I switch to "Get extensions"
- Search for RealURL
- Import the version 1.12.8 of RealURL
- A spinner is shown
- I refreshed the backend after 5 minutes of waiting
- Extension is not upgraded
3rd attempt to upgrade an extension - RealURL 1.12.7 to 1.12.8
- I manually downloaded the t3x file for RealURL 1.12.8 from TER
- Upload the extension with the extension manager and choose to overwrite the existing extension
- Extension is upgraded
The problem is not related to RealURL. I can reproduce the same problems with other extensions.
I also faced the situation, that the TYPO3 backend totally breaks, after I clicked on the update-button and waited several minutes without something happening in the extension manager. In this case the webservers error log shows the following message:
PHP Fatal error: Class 'TYPO3\\Flow\\Utility\\Files' not found in /path-to-typo3/typo3_src-6.2.0beta6/typo3/sysext/core/Classes/Package/PackageFactory.php
In this case I manually had to clear typo3temp/* to get a working backend again.
I have also moved the TYPO 4.5 site to another server, repeated the TYPO3 6.2 migratation and extension update process with the same results. The TYPO3 4.5 Extension Manager can update all extensions without any problems.
