How to test:

create a content element, disable the RTE and add something like this:

this is a line including a normal url http://www.typo3.org - over.

this is a line including a https url https://www.typo3.org - end

and check the frontend. only the 1st url will be substituted with <a href="http://www.typo3.org">www.typo3.org</a>.
