I think it should be possible to mark an input field with mode useOrOverridePlaceholder as required.
If I set a field like this to required and there is an default value from sys file metadata available and I don't override it, I can't save the record due to missing entry.
The function should see that there is an default value and accept it if I don't override the value.

Hey, our customer would also like this feature. It would be nice if this would work so that an alternative text always has to be set.
