thanks for creating the ticket, however I can not reproduce it on latest master in chrome or firefox.
can you please retest in latest master and tell which browser (+version) you are using? thanks!

Keyboard entries in the date field are not possible.
You always see the current date in the field.
The date calculation with the input, for example, "+7" does not work either.
During testing we use Windows 7 with Firefox 40.0.2.
In the TYPO3 version 7.3.1 the inputs still work.
Starting from version 7.4 to 7.5-dev entries with the keyboard into a date field do not work.
