Description

A user is not allowed to edit file meta data but listing of the table is allowed.

=> Login as normal user
=> Fileadmin
=> Info-Button of a file

As the user i see the normal file information and the reference to file Metadata, but i can't see the metadata. When i click on the pen i get an empty window.

I think the readonly view is missing or am i wrong?

The editor ist allowed to add/remove files to content elements, so yes.

And also for the files he added him self he can not open the info window?

He can add a file and open the info window of the file.

step1 = info window
step2 = click on pen to see meta data => empty window

Goal is that editors can see the metadata of files but not edit it.

The pencil icon is the 'edit' action so current behaviour is correct.

I changed the issue to feature request as we need to find a way to extend the info window with all correct info or create some kind of readonly edit form.

The info window was rewritten and extended and now also contains the read-only basic meta data (tested with an editor with no write access) - see screenshot. Closing this request now.
