Bug #72874
closedInstall Tool not working properly with PHP 5.6 (v7.6.2)
0%
Description
If I use my Typo3 installation with PHP 5.6 the Install Tool does not work properly:
Using the Database Analyzer or one of the two Cache Cleaners, the page reloads, but no message is shown, even if you removed some extension with database usage (compare https://forum.typo3.org/index.php?t=msg&th=212578). Also if I change something in All Configuration there is nothing written into the configuration file. Also the creation of deleted typo3temp-folders does not more work.
If I use PHP 5.5 or PHP 7 there is not this problem, but PHP 5.5 is getting outdatet and with PHP 7 some extensions makes error in the frontend rendering (powermail, news and ke_search) even after cleaning the cache and deleting the content of /typo3temp.

Sorry, I am not a specialist or a programmer. I do not "understand PHP".
I changed only the PHP version. All the other paramters are identical between PHP 5.5.31 and PHP 5.6.17. In both versions I have always_populate_raw_post_data=-1 according to the advices of the Install Tool when I use PHP 5.6.17 while PHP 5.5 telling nothing. I tried to deacitivate OPcache or change the way without result in PHP 5.6.
I am not alone with these phenomena (therefore the link to the post), but I did not find any solution.

Please, could you tell us if the issue still occurs with 7.6.10 or 8.3?

Sorry, at the moment all my installations are running with PHP 5.5 or PHP 7.0 and I have at the moment not the time for testing it.
For myself I do not need such a fix anymore, but when I searched, I found that I was not alone with this problem. With Typo3 v8.xx I do not need to try, because PHP < 7.0 is not supported by the official specifications.
PS: According to https://forum.typo3.org/index.php?t=msg&th=212654&goto=745091&#msg_745091 newer versions of PHP 5.6 are working.
