Bug #80309
closedTransparency outline stripped from PNGs when file is processed?
0%
Description
Howdy,
I've stubled upon weird behaviour in TYPO3 which seems to strip/crop out transparent areas around an image which results in the processed image being smaller as the transparent parts seem to be stripped.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Filelist module > Upload th image original-file.png (see attached; note the transparent outline in the image)
2) Page > create element (images only) > use the uploaded file
3) Image will be rendered without the transparent area around (see stripped-transparency-result.png)
Anyone else has experienced this issue?
Thank you!
ps. TYPO3 8.6.1 using GraphicsMagick.

The issue seems to be not affecting TYPO3 6.x running on the same server (and thus same installation of GraphicsMagick/ImageMagick). Uploading the same file in TYPO3 6.x doesn't strip/crop out the transparent outline, so it seems to be TYPO3 8.x specific (maybe TYPO3 7.x but cannot verify that right now).

At a first glance, I am not able to reproduce it with TYPO3 8.7.9 - I am using Windows and GraphicsMagick-1.3.26-Q8
Could you test again and, if possible, give us more information about your configuration and environment? Thank you!
