Hello,

we just did a first test upgrade to 8.6.1, I'll report a few issues regarding that.

The extensions checker deadlocked in a request loop, I think we had to disable news (3.6.0), dce (1.0.5) and tq_seo (6.0.1) before it ran through.

sorry for the delayed answer as I was on easter vacation. Meanwhile we have analyzed this further. The extension checker will deadlock, when it can't write this file:

htdocs/typo3temp/assets/ExtensionCompatibilityTester.txt

In our case the "assets" folder was missing after rm -r typo3temp/* ...

If you could assert the folder and eventually create it when it's missing, the checker should run a bit safer.
