Description
After updating a project to 12.4 i was not able to download large files in the backend anymore.
It seems like with https://review.typo3.org/c/Packages/TYPO3.CMS/+/77592 the direct link to the file with a download attribute was substituted with a link to the /typo3/file/download middleware (\TYPO3\CMS\Filelist\Controller\FileDownloadController::class . '::handleRequest')

This is an unnecessary processing step, waste of CPU power and introduces wait times for editors
