Bug #14363
closed
sendnotifyemail - fromname
Added by old_integra about 20 years ago.
Updated about 10 years ago.
Description
if the from name has specail chars the headers of the recieved mail are broken
just send an email with this function in class.tslib_content.php using the following string as FromName:
THE SKATOONS::Lars
and check your incoming mail
The problem is fixed when the fromname is wrapped into " FROMNAME "
(issue imported from #M426)
- class.tslib_content.php v3.7.0
- :5466
-- if ($email_from) {$headers[]='From: '.$email_fromName.' <'.$email_from.'>';}
++ if ($email_from) {$headers[]='From: '".$email_fromName."' <'.$email_from.'>';}
There is a typo in the patch. The quotes and the doublequotes needs to be exchanged:
WRONG:
+ if ($email_from) {$headers[]='From: '".$email_fromName."' <'.$email_from.'>';}
RIGHT:
+ if ($email_from) {$headers[]='From: "'.$email_fromName.'" <'.$email_from.'>';}
emax.
