DAM Link Error

Description
Add a DAM Media Link in RTE
Sava Data and go to linkvalidator.
Click Check Links and you will get your DAM Link as broken.
Linkvalidator generates the following link to check:
index.php?id=DAMID
For Example:
RTE: <a href="fileadmin/demo.pdf" txdam="1878" title="Just a demo" external="1" rtekeep="1">Demo</a>
LV: index.php?id=1878

linkvalidator does not ship the dam linktype. This is part of the dam package.
Can you please check this. There might be an open bug report at the dam issue tracker already.
If I find some time, I might have a look at it, but as I do not use DAM, can not tell easily what the problem might be.

I've the same issue. TYPO3 4.5, DAM 1.3.1

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5.33)?
