Description

It has often been quite handy to simply mark using the mouse and copy a list of extensions (installed, updatable or whatever). Currenty extmgr does not allow that. It only allows to select the category-headlines but not the text about each invididual extension.

For me this is quite a large "bug" since your only choice now is to lookup the details and type them in by hand again.

(Experienced this on an installation of TYPO3 4.6.14. Could somebody please see if this affects a current 4.7 as well? 6.0+ is not affected since that uses a different extension-manager.)

Same with 4.7.7 so this seems to affect the whole extension-manager that existed in 4.6 and 4.7.

  • Status changed from New to Accepted

It has probably to do with the ExtJS widget to display the results. It will require thorough knowledge of ExtJS3 to know if it can be solved at all.

IMO we don't need to spend time on the old EM. Do you agree?

Won't have this for EM number 2 anymore. 4.5 has a well-working (number 1) EM and 6.0 also has a new one (number 3).

A little suggestion: what about allowing admins to export on a txt file the list of extensions with version numbers, state (used/installed/to update) , etc ?

Please create a new issue for the CSV export. This would be an easy feature.

BTW, the new new EM (v3) does allow you to copy the cells again.
