Description
The TYPO3 setting: A multiple domain page tree. I exported the page tree for a domain A including file references.
If I import this .t3d file for a domain B in the same TYPO3 installation and I used FAL file references in pages and/or records, the file references lost in the imported pages and records but duplicated in the original page tree, that I exported.
It looks for me, that in the import process, the uid of the target record not updated to the new uid.

Impexp is compatible with FAL since version 6.2. Since this is the new LTS and a lot of fixes are required for this topic, there is no plan to backport this to older versions on a volunteer base.
