Just tested in FF 35 and for me it just works fine. In IE11 the drag&drop part indeed doesn't work. The multi upload does, so we need to change the labels and prevent the drop area from showing for browsers that do not support drag&drop.

I just had a look at https://blueimp.github.io/jQuery-File-Upload/, http://www.plupload.com/examples and http://filedropjs.org/demo/. They claim it should also work for IE11 but for me it doesn't work there either. I know the drag&drop worked in Internet Explorer when we introduced the feature. Strange it doesn't work there anymore.

Okay, after adjusting the security settings of the browser the drag&drop upload worked.

Andrea can you confirm this?

Not for me - IE and FF will not work.

I performed a test with:

TYPO3 6.2.12 + FF 37.0.2 on windows 7
TYPO3 6.2.12 + IE10 10.0.9200.17357 on windows 7
TYPO3 6.2.3 + IE11 11.0.9600.17728 on windows 7 (sorry I don't have a more recent version to use with that browser)

and the drag&drop upload worked in all cases.

Can you perform a test with 6.2.12?

Hey guys,
tested with 6.2.12:
FF 38.01 will not work for me, Chrome works, but the overwrite buttons in some cases are behind the popup. So it is not easy for an editor. Would be easier to show this dialogue in the upper right corner instead of the middle.
IE 11.09.600 will even not work. Frans, which settings in the security sections did you change - or better: which settings do you have in all browsers for making the drag and drop possible.

If the drag & drop upload depends on the security settlings of the browsers, can we make it visible for the editors - so they can change the settings?

just tried with Firefox 38.0.1 on Mac OSX Yosemite and the drag and drop works (TYPO3 6.2.12)

So what can cause the problems - any idea?

@Andrea Herzog-Kienast, mhh... the first thing I would try is to see if there are evidences of the problem:

- are there javascript errors?
- are there errors in php logs?
- are there errors in apache logs?

The second thing is: If I remember there is the possibility to run Firefox without all its plugins... I would try that also.

Please close this issue. The problem was just an ux one. For editors it is not easy to understand where to klick and so on.
