Bug #72107
closedsearch in pagetree ends in endless loop in case of DB mounts
0%
Description
We use Typo3 in a multidomain environment. When searching for "Home" as a non-admin-user, the result tree repeats endless. See attached screenshot. The page "Random Header Startseite" is a normal page without any subpages. We don't see any reason why the page tree includes another mountpoint / Website root here.
The problem doesn't exists in 4.5 with the same page structure.
As an admin user, everything is fine.

- Subject changed from search in pagetree ends in endless loop for non-admin users to search in pagetree ends in endless loop in case of DB mounts
- Complexity set to hard
It's also confirmed in 7LTS and it also happens with admin users if they happen to be member of groups that have DB mounts.
The filtered tree seems to repeat after a page that has not subpages.
A slightly different effect can be seen in other cases where the pagetree is repeated in every DB mount.
Both cases can be seen in the screenshot.

I can probably confirm the behaviour in 7.6.17dev.
See attached diff what seems to fix the problem in my installation.
Since i am not familiar at all with pageTree stuff, i am not sure if that is a viable solution.

Is this still reproducible on TYPO3 9.5.5 or higher?

Any news on this, if it still exists? We've reworked the pagetree in v9.

Did not had the chance to test this on 9LTS as we are still running on 8LTS because of missing features from RealURL.

Just had the chance to test this in LTS 10. From my point of view the bug is gone :) Can't reproduce this anymore!
