Dear TYPO3 Team,

I'm writing to you in behalf of the Neos Team, and as one of the original authors of the Neos Flow package "Neos.Form" (which was called TYPO3.Form before the renaming); regarding the TYPO3 system extension "form" being introduced in the TYPO3 8.5 release.

I just quickly checked the code and found major similarities between our code and your version; which you are of course totally free to do. In fact, one of your contributors asked the question to me back then; and I pointed him to the LGPL license this package is released under.

However, while checking the source code I found that you removed all copyright notices of the Neos project; and this is something which is not compliant with LGPL license.

I think the issue can be resolved really easily and unbureaucreatically, just by adding Neos/Flow copyright notices or adding an indication that the code is originally from the Neos/Flow project in the source header of every file.

PS: A small personal note: In the announcement on typo3.org there was no mentioning at all that the Form framework was based on previous work; I personally think it would have been a nice gesture to mention the volunteers who put their time into creating the concepts and code used in the new solution.
