Furthermore the path to the config.yaml is wrong or the description is incomplete.
Currently it states typo3conf/sites/, which is under the document root.
In a (my ;-) ) composer based installation the location is <project-root>/config/sites/<identifier>/config.yaml
The different locations should be added to the description.

The description of the line instead of the ??? could be:
# two-letter code for the language according to ISO-639 nomenclature (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes)
