Bug #97153
closedWhen editing an element via the list of file references, it is not possible to add images
0%
Description
I am not sure if this is intentional (to add images if you enter this way), but it looks buggy currently, because it is possible to open the media dialog and select an image, but it does not appear (the reference is not created).
Reproduce¶
Intention: we want to add / replace images in an element by going via filelist > references.
1. Use latest main branch with styleguide
2. Let styleguide create content, upoad additional files
3. In file list click on fileadmin/styleguide and choose a file, e.g. bus_lane.jpg and click on the "Ref" link (right column)
4. When scrolling down we see the "References to this item", now click on the pencil for one of the items to edit.
5. Click "Add image" and select a file.
Nothing happens, nothing changes.
If you add a file to a (content) element by editing it directly, there is not problem.

Hi Sybille,
I confirm this issue, check out screencast attached.

also have this problem on Typo3 v10 and v11 with php 7.4 and was curios, how this bug could be unseen all the time when the only reason, to edit the element with a specific file reference, would be to edit or replace the file.
probably not often used =)
btw. while adding a new file via filelist is not working, you can use the upload button which works. so its only the very left button which seem to not put new files to the list.
