It happens if a page is hidden OR restricted, e.g. by setting an access starttime which lays in the future.

Expected behavior would be, that the 404 handler from the site-configuration shows the configured 404-error page.

I can confirm that a user restricted website cannot be accessed and produces a 403 error if you access the page without being logged in.

Hidden pages, however, gave me the configured 404 error page.

Tested with TYPO3 11.5.34
