No thumbnails generated for jpg and png
Added by Ohk almost 17 years ago.
Updated over 5 years ago.
Description
Normaly when I use the content-element text with image, i can see a thumbnail.
Currently i get for jpg´s and png´s the message:"No thumbs generated [filename]"
Image Magick works. Version: 6.3.4.
Can Someone help me?
(issue imported from #M6101)
And for other file types (e.g. gif, pdf, etc.) this is working?
One thing I've seen often is a wrong path setting:
Switch to your Install Tool, goto All Configuration and check if the value entered at 'im_path' is correct
In my backend there are thumbs generated for "*.jpg" but not for "*.JPG". I thought this is case insensitive. I use T3 Version 4.0.2
the same here
threre are not thumbnails for images with upper ".JPG"
For the upper-/lowcase crowd:
Could you please point out where these files are not displayed? While editing a record, in fileadmin/filelist view, in element browser... Thanks in advance!
There was a similar issue in the element browser, which is fixed in TYPO3 4.1.3 - see bug #14146
yes it was the element browser in version 4.1.2.
So i've have to update this site...
thx
same for me. I have updated. Thank you.
@Ohk: Could you please mention, when the error occurred on your system? Did you update a running system with a newer TYPO3 release? Or did you just set up a new TYPO3 project and had this error? Maybe the typo3temp directory hasn't the required permissions - the result would be that thumbnail files couldn't be written at all.
Hi !
We have a similar problem here ... here for images which have a "space" character in their name no images get generated - I assume that somewhere in the t3lib_stdGraphic code where images get resized by imageMagick there are no quotes (") around image filenames - which would cause problem if the contain a space-character.
Could you test renaming files which cause problem to such a name where they do not contain any spaces ...
Resolved, no change required:
The issue with the uppercase filenames has been solved in 4.1 and 4.2 with revision 2513 / 2514, see #14146
I was unable to reproduce the problem regarding space characters in filenames. This might have to do with my gfx environment, so I can not be 100% sure if this is really solved. @Bernhard: Could you please open a new issue if this is still a problem for you?
