Description

For different language settings of the page type "Link to external URL" you have to switch back to page tape "standard", do settings for different language versions by switching the page type of the language version to "Link to external URL", switch it back to standard and finally switch back to page type "Link to external URL" of the default language page when you're done.

Took some time to find out, but works.

The localisation view for that page type is not implemented..

The worst part of this is that you are not able to link to a different external URL based on the language.

The workaround described in this bug only allows changing page properties like access and page title for different languages.

Maybe the code from this plugin can be included in future releases: altern_lang_page_link

Attention: altern_lang_page_link might be buggy in versions >4.
It breaks my multilanguage navigation when installed in 4.5.7

i was just hitting this bug with TYPO3 4.4. Somebody willing to fix it? Should be somewhere located in the language menu generation.

Typo3 6.2.x: I have 2 language variants
IT (L=0)
EN (L=1)
Procedure done:
1) drag & drop in IT a new page, type external url; set www.cesanamedia.it as url
2) select the page; from the above dropdown, select "languages" > it appears the dropdown to select
the translation: (Make new translation of this page:)
2.1 select English
3) After page reload > see attached file CATTURA.png: the page is already of type "external url" and you can set a different url.

Are there other problems I don't see? The only thing I've seen is that for the alternate language page you can't set the FE usergroup

@Plotz : I did the same test on 7.5-dev (latest master) and I don't see problems, too.
Is there something left, or we can close this issue?
Thank you
