TYPO3 offers possibility to open a menu link in a new window or a popup.

Actually the editor must know cryptic codes like "_blank", "600x400" etc.
The CSH offers a good description of what can be entered here. But in daily business most of the editors don`t understand this.

Imho a simple input field here is the wrong way to go. I think a select box would be more helpful and makes it easier.
Furthermore the options could easily adjusted from an admin via pageTS.

I would create a patch for this one and I hope that this is only an UI-Improvement which would find its way to 4.5.

But at first a comment from the UI-Team about this would be great.
