When installing an extension you first download it and then you have to do an extra step to install it. This should be one process. So clicking it should download and install an extension.

I vote against this because it is dangerous. Sometimes you want to download the extension only (for example, for security evaluation). Also we download-only extensions on the translation server.
Extensions contain the code, which is executed. That is potentially unsafe. That extra clicks gives the user one more chance to think if he really wants to install that piece of code. So I think it is rather good to have that extra click.
