Bug #36277

Comments under LIVE versions belong to their successors
Added by Bart Dubelaar over 12 years ago.
Updated about 9 years ago.
Description
The comments shown under the published versions in the LIVE tab do not belong to these elements but to their successors.
If you publish an element twice, the comments under the element that was published first do not belong to this element but to the second publish. This also holds for subsequent publishes.
Holds for 4.5 and up.
The underlying issue is that all sys_log entries are not swapped upon publishing. So after a publish the sys_log entries point to the wrong element.
- Status changed from New to Under Review
Steps to reproduce:
1. Move a draft element to the ready to publish step and add a comment (A). (need to add the comment in the ready to publish step, as the publish comment is not stored, bug #26615).
2. Publish the element
3. Change the element
4. Move the element to the ready to publish step and add a comment (B).
5. Publish the element
6. Now look at the live tab, there you will see the version that was published in step 2 but with the comments of step 4.

Hi,
Is this still an issue in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.2.9)?
If yes, can you provide a newer patch against master by using Gerrit? http://wiki.typo3.org/CWT
I will install the latest TYPO3 version and check it. Will follow up later.
