Move default layout in page module to a backend_layout
Added by Steffen Müller over 12 years ago.
Updated almost 7 years ago.
Category:
Backend User Interface
Description
The default layout in the page module (left, normal, right, border) should be moved to a backend_layout. It represents exactly the same as backend_layouts do:
Files
- Target version set to 7.2 (Frontend)
- Target version changed from 7.2 (Frontend) to 7.4 (Backend)
- Target version changed from 7.4 (Backend) to 7.5
- Target version deleted (
7.5)
- Related to Task #81109: Simplify default backend layout added
I have some doubts about this kind of feature, so please tell me if I am wrong
As far as I have understood, it should mean that the CMS should create a “default” be layout at the first installation (like the default TS template)
My questions:
- what happens if it is deleted?
- there is another issue about the inheritance of be_layouts and I don’t know if it will conflict
- what if I want to store my be_layouts on file and not on DB?
- Status changed from New to Closed
The current TYPO3 version solved the problem of the old-fashioned 4-column "default" layout by simplifying it and using a single column (task #81109).
We close this issue for now.
If you think that this is the wrong decision or that there is still work to do on this topic, please reopen it or open a new issue with a reference to this one. Thank you!
