Bug #43229

German Translation "Ordner" should be "Datenbank Ordner, SysOrdner, etc."

Description
Hi users are confused be the current translation of Systemfolders in TYPO3 4.5 and up. Would be nice if a change could be discussed and then sent to pottle ;)
Sysfolder was renamed to Folder some versions ago (in English). So I think Ordner is an appropriate translation.
it may be a correct translation - but "folder in file" != "folder in web/list...." -> users are confused, so i'd like to see different words for it, as it's technical different.

To simplify and "de-technify" TYPO3, we renamed SysFolder to Folder back in TYPO3 4.5. This was done to address simple users which are not interested in the "technical" issues around it.
That a "folder" contains different stuff depending on the context is natural and doesn't need further explanation in my eyes.
Where exactly do you feel it is currently confusing? Do you have a screenshot or a demonstration on where the user might feel misguided by the rename?
I wouldn't "fix" this simply by changing the translation, as it then gets inconsistent across language borders.
For me personaly the difference is clear.
But non tech users have problems with the difference.
We use the same symbol for "file-folder" and "db-folder".
The problem is, that "non-tech" users can't understand (and constantly ask me in many projects) why it's only possible to upload files in the module "filelist", while there are also folders in the "web" module.
So for me, there should be a clarification in speech and visualisation, so that users see the difference between a virtual database folder and a real file folder.

- Is Regression set to No
It is impossible to achieve consensus in this issue.
Not because of the parties involved but because of the problem itself.
See, the thing is that one party states "Folder" is more clear than "SysFolder".
The other party states the opposite.
The problem is that both are right, thus the only way to reliably pick one over the other would be to toss a coin.
Luckily you can rename the doctype to whatever your editors need.
