Description
The rendering of the categories heading is hardcoded into the source in class TYPO3\CMS\IndexedSearch\Controller\SearchFormController in line 495. It schould be possible to specify the appearance of this heading by template.
It would be great if there would be the possibility to render a list of categories at the very top of the search results with section-links to the categories.

The hard HTML should be moved to either a template file or at least into a TS setting.

It's already possible with Extbase plugin.
If you provide a patch here on in gerrit, I can take care of reviewing it. However I don't think I will have time to develop patch myself in the near future.

the extbase version is the only version available anymore. as it is solved there, i am closing this issue.
