Description

The autocomplete widget does not work in the backend, dont know if this is a bug or it was never designed to work in the backend.

This bug has nothing to do with the module token requirement, but it is a valid issue.

Ajax widgets do not work in a backend context currently. The URL generated is meant for a frontend request, but the ajax widget context is stored in backend.

Widgets have been removed in TYPO3 v10, as they were not a clean implementation of what should have been achieved and had too many cross-cutting concerns.
