Ajax Widgets do not work in backend context
Added by Philipp Wrann over 10 years ago.
Updated almost 3 years ago.
Description
The autocomplete widget does not work in the backend, dont know if this is a bug or it was never designed to work in the backend.
- Subject changed from Security Token missing for Autocomplete Wisget ViewHelper to Security Token missing for Autocomplete Widget ViewHelper
This bug has nothing to do with the module token requirement, but it is a valid issue.
Ajax widgets do not work in a backend context currently. The URL generated is meant for a frontend request, but the ajax widget context is stored in backend.

Widgets have been removed in TYPO3 v10, as they were not a clean implementation of what should have been achieved and had too many cross-cutting concerns.
