Backend User Interface
Description
Hi,
A very good new feature for TYPO3 6.3 would be to add a switcher on the name of the logged user to simulate other backend user directly without passing by the be_users module.
A thing like this http://forge.typo3.org/issues/46017 but not for the languages, but for the backend users...
Thanks
- Status changed from New to Needs Feedback
How do you expect this to work for 1000+ users?
Where shall the switcher be located? I could imagine an optional topbar wizard like for the open docs or clear cache module.
Please elaborate a bit more on how this should work.
Per example where the name of the logged user is. So in the top toolbar.
Perhaps a system like an input with auto-completion on the name of the user to switch.
FYI: in earlier versions it was possible to switch user in list-view of the table be_users. This feature has been gone with 6.0.
There is the possibility to switch the backend user in the "backend users" module. Do you need another switcher?
