Description
With a description-field it would be possible to offer things like hover-texts in BE to suggest what certain filemounts should be used for, which documents they contain etc.
Thinking about it again: Should we add such metadata on the level of folders instead of filemounts instead? Every filemount would point to a folder anyway.

Nope Folders don't have a representation in the DB, and is out of scope for FAL right now. Care to create a patch for that?
You're right about folders. But I'll go for a patch for filemount-records (simply adding a field, displaying it etc.) then.
